<  Awarnings  ~  What's in a Name?

Wow, it's been so long since I've posted! But, I got something I thought would be nice to share.

I didn't see a topic for this Awarning, so I thought I'd create one since I found evidence of 'badge engineering' last night at my local Fry's Electronics here in Houston.







I'm fairly sure that this is a Mazda 6 wagon, judging by the body style and front clip. Oh, and the engraved Mazda logo on the inside center of the wheels that they forgot to switch out with a BMW logo.

I mean, Mazdas are awesome. So are BMWs. I mean...wow, driver denial. Coincidentally, it was parked right next to a very real, '08 BMW X5.

Ahh, the pictures finally load. That is very sad... Why do people do that to their cars? To make them look richer/cooler? A) It's pretty recognizable as a Japanese Import. Doesn't have the BMW looks. (on a side note. it would totally pass off as a subaru... idk why i just thought of that..) B) if your going to defame BMW & Mazda... at least do the whole thing.. not just the grill
